Birth to age 5 is the most critical and rapid time for brain development in a human's life. Adventures meets this critical need by first hiring experienced and educated staff. Our teachers understand that each child is part of a larger family. Parents are a child's first teacher, so Adventures staff work together with families to provide the best possible care and education. We believe it is important to have a balanced schedule of indoor and outdoor time, individual and group time; active and rest time. Children are given opportunities to participate in math, science, fine & gross motor, language, music, art, dramatic play and real life experiences. These experiences are play-based and developmentally appropriate according to the age, ability and interest of the child. Play is a natural part of a child's development and allows them to experience through their senses in scenarios and experiences that are meaningful to them.
